Stabbing at Home Depot: Transient Gets Arrested
The 51-year-old victim suffered a severe cut to his left arm.

Fairfield police arrested a man suspected of stabbing another manΒ in front of a Home Depot store this morning. Β

The suspect, Paul Springs, 47, was arrested on Beck Avenue nearΒ Cadenasso Drive after witnesses told police where he was last seen after theΒ assault, Sgt. Randy Boggs said.Β
Springs and the victim are Fairfield-area transients who know eachΒ other, and neither one is cooperating with police in the investigation, BoggsΒ said.

The stabbing was reported around 10:45 a.m. in front of the Home
Depot store at 2121 Cadenasso Drive, Boggs said.

Neither Springs nor the victim would give police a statement aboutΒ the incident, Boggs said.Β
Police recovered a box cutter-type knife allegedly used in theΒ assault from Springs, who was booked into the Solano County jail on suspicionΒ assault with a deadly weapon, Boggs said.
