Suisun City Man Convicted Of Sexually Assaulting His Stepdaughters

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A jury on Monday found a Suisun City man guilty of sexually assaulting his two young stepdaughters.

Richard Anthony Evans, pictured above, was found guilty of sodomy with a child under 10 years of age or less, and sexual penetration with a child under 10 years of age or less. Evans could face 55 years to life in state prison when sentenced on May 15.

Evans committed the crimes against the girls from November 2015 to February 2016, while he was watching them on days after they returned home from school, according to the Solano County District Attorney’s Office.

After three months of suffering, the 9-year-old victim finally told her mother what occurred and her mother contacted the police. Evans was arrested in February 2016 and later confessed to police on video.
