LOOK: Suisun City Solo Vehicle Accident Wipes Out Fire Hydrant, Sends Water Spraying

Sunday was sunny in most of Suisun City, but a few residents saw some unexpected showers after a vehicle collided with a fire hydrant.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Sunday was a sunny day in most of Suisun City, but a few residents saw some unexpected showers thanks to a motorist whose car collided with a fire hydrant.

At about 5:32 pm on March 26, officers were dispatched to the area of the 600 block of Fulmar Drive on a report of a solo vehicle roll-over collision.

Officers arrived to find a vehicle in question had collided with a fire hydrant and stop sign, then rolled over. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was uninjured and exited the vehicle prior to officers arriving. No other vehicles were involved.

The Suisun City Fire Department responded to the scene to shut off the water to the fire hydrant. Fulmar Drive was closed between Petersen Drive and Humbolt Drive during the incident, but later re-opened to traffic.

Officers said they believe speed was a factor in the collision.
