Vacaville Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Exploitation Of Minor

VACAVILLE, CA — A Vacaville man pleaded guilty this week to the sexual exploitation of a minor, US Attorney Eric Grant announced.
Michael Rubino, 37, used his iPhone to record a video of himself engaging in sexually explicit conduct with a 17-year-old girl over the period of six weeks in 2024, prosecutors said.
After his victim was admitted to a local hospital, Rubino told law enforcement officers that he never engaged in sexual conduct with her despite knowing that he had done so while she was a minor.

Rubino is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 11. and is facing a mandatory minimum of 15 years in federal prison and a maximum of 30 years, as well as a $250,000 fine.
