Summer Event Series Encourages All People to Seek Peace

This summer, Trabuco Canyon residents will unite with millions worldwide to participate in a six-part annual event to promote the appropriate theme “Pursue Peace”.

“I have been attending these conventions for over 30 years” said Alex De La Rosa, who plans to attend this summer’s sessions of the ‘Pursue Peace’ convention. “Honestly, we all can use more peace right now. I look forward to learning how I can increase my personal peace and the peace of our community.”

Jehovah’s Witnesses have held global conventions for over a century, the last three years featuring virtual events accessible in more than 500 languages on jw.org.

“This convention is an object lesson in how peace is being achieved by a global community right now as it unites millions of people even in areas of conflict like Ukraine and Russia,” said Robert Hendriks, U.S. spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “The power of the principles being discussed transcends national borders, ethnic differences and language barriers. Both individuals and families will benefit from attending the program.”

Although Jehovah’s Witnesses hope to return to large in-person gatherings sometime in the future as they were held locally at the Long Beach Convention Center, the decision was made to host the 2022 three-day convention again virtually.

An interesting subject to be explored is how love leads to inner peace and peace with others. It will conclude with an exciting presentation titled, “Universal Peace is Sure to Come!”
