50-Unit Affordable Housing Complex Vista Ballona Opens In Mar Vista
The 50-unit housing complex on Grand View Boulevard is 100% affordable and electric.

MAR VISTA, CA — Los Angeles Councilmember and LA County Supervisor Holly Mitchell attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome 50 new affordable housing units, Yo Venice reported.
Vista Ballona, located on 3960 Grand View Boulevard in Mar Vista, features 50 newly- constructed affordable housing units. The development, which is Community Corporation of Santa Monica’s first development outside Santa Monica, also set aside 12 units for individuals with developmental disabilities.
The LEED Platinum all-electric building will also feature case management support services.

“Solving our city’s affordable housing crisis requires an approach that is creative, visionary, and focused on sustainability,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a statement. “That’s exactly what we’re seeing at Vista Ballona: Affordable, and all-electric, homes for low-income Angelenos. This is what the future of housing in Los Angeles looks like.”
