90 Degree Heat Could Hit Venice, Mar Vista Through Friday: NWS

Dangerously high temperatures could hit Venice and Mar Vista Wednesday through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

VENICE, CA — Venice and Mar Vista locals could watch temperatures rise up to 90 degrees this week, according to the National Weather Service.

An excessive heat watch is underway from Wednesday morning through Friday afternoon for the Los Angeles County Coast, including Downtown Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley. Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Long Beach, Woodland Hills, Northridge, Burbank, Universal City, Pasadena, San Gabriel and Pomona are expected to see dangerously high temperatures.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the evening.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 74. Northeast wind around 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 80. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 81.

Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 56.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 78.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 79.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 79.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 73.

Residents are advised to drink lots of fluids and stay in air-conditioned rooms or out of the sun, according to NWS. Residents should also check in on their neighbors and relatives.
