Abbot Kinney Festival Sunday

Celebrate the vendors and eclectic mix of people and fun found in Venice at the Abbot Kinney Festival Sunday.

The Abbot Kinney Festival will be held Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Started in 1984, the festival features local artisan crafts, live music, food, a kids area and more. According to the fest's website, "Activities and areas are designed to complement the eclectic, cutting-edge mix" of more than 100 boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, bookstores, design firms, coffee shops, clubs and salons found along a one-mile stretch of the famous bohemian-chic shopping district of Abbot Kinney Boulevard, from Venice Boulevard to Main Street.

The outdoor festival features a "Green Scene" and beer garden.

Principessa, 1323 Abbot Kinney Blvd., will have jewelry maker Natalia Benson on site, as well as tarot cards read, face and body painting and vintage Zodiac boots, according to laracked.com.

Organized by the Abbot Kinney Festival Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the annual festival attracts nearly 150,000 people. Proceeds from sponsorships, booth exhibitor fees, official merchandise and event concessions go to benefit youth and families through the AKFA Community Grants Program, according to a press release.

The festival's music line-up can be seen and heard here.

#AKFest is the event's Twitter hashtag.
