Hit-And-Run Driver Kills Pedestrian In Venice, Police Say
Police are looking for two hit-and-run suspects who struck and killed a pedestrian in Venice, according to the LAPD.
VENICE, CA — The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision that killed a pedestrian in Venice.
The crash happened about 12:20 a.m. Jan. 21 at Venice Boulevard and Brenta Place when a tan sedan heading westbound on Venice Boulevard crashed into a man standing in between the westbound #1 and #2 lanes, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
After the collision, the driver continued driving westbound Venice Boulevard without stopping, identifying themselves, or rendering aid to the unidentified pedestrian, police said.

The vehicle was described as a tan 2000-2010 sedan. No information on make or model was provided.
The impact caused the pedestrian to fall into the #2 lane where he was struck by a second vehicle, which was described as a light-colored 2012 Range Rover, police said.

The driver of the second vehicle also fled westbound Venice Boulevard without stopping, identifying themselves or rendering aid to the pedestrian. The driver of the second vehicle was described as a man, approximately 20 years old, with dark blonde hair and 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build.
A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender's identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise, police said.
