Many homes in West Los Angeles, including some in Mar Vista, have been experiencing brief power outages Tuesday afternoon, but the Los Angeles Department of Water &amp; Power assures residents the problem will be rectified shortly. "One of our circuits had a problem," LADWP spokesperson MaryAnne Pierson told Patch at 5 p.m. "We believe it was a couple of wires arcing together. However, we currently have crews on site and we have had to deenergize so people don't get hurt." Pierson said there are currently 700 homes without power, and while she couldn't state exactly when power would be restored to all homes she did assure residents that the problem is being worked on.
