Suspect In Custody; Police End Search For Armed Suspect In Venice
Residents were urged to stay inside while police search for a man running around a Venice neighborhood armed with a gun.
VENICE, CA — The search for an armed suspect in a Venice neighborhood ended late Thursday night with a suspect taken into custody, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers were chasing the armed suspect, a homeless man suspected of attempted murder, about 4:10 p.m. near Washington Boulevard and Oxford Street, a police dispatcher told Patch.
Police asked residents to stay inside their homes while they set up a perimeter to search for him, authorities told Patch.
