A 60-year-old man was being treated at a hospital Saturday morning for a gunshot wound he suffered while listening to music and partying in a car, but investigators were trying to determine whether his leg injury was self-inflicted or if he was shot by someone else.
The shooting happened at 11:40 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Washington Way, said Sgt. Steve Nassief of the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Station.
According to @Venice311 scanner report, the man was shot in the leg.
"He was partying with some people in a car,'' Nassief said, adding that the man was heavily intoxicated when reached by police and firefighters.
No weapon was recovered and the man did not explain how he was shot, Nassief said. The wound was not life-threatening, he said.
