Missing Woman Last Seen In Venice, Car Found In Marina Del Rey
A missing Mar Vista woman never returned home after going to Venice Beach. Her car was found in Marina del Rey and her family is worried.

VENICE, CA — Authorities are asking the public for any information about a missing 32-year-old Mar Vista woman who was last seen at Venice Beach.
Kolby Story was last seen early on Dec. 7 in the 12300 block of Pacific Avenue, near Venice Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Her family is very worried about her and is now offering a $100K reward for her safe return, Josh Story, her older brother told Patch.

"It's tough, the unknown and just every day is we feel like it's getting tougher and tougher," he told Patch. "We're going to offer a reward for her safe return."
Her family has started searching for her, handing out flyers and talking to people in Venice and Mar Vista.

Her brother told Patch that her car was later found in the Marina del Rey police impound lot. It had a flat tire and was towed from a parking lot across from a Ralphs grocery store in Marina del Rey.
“It would make sense that she got a flat and then called someone to come get her,” Josh told NBC's Dateline. “But there were no outgoing calls on her phone records - so who came to get her? And that’s where it ends. We have nothing after that. And it’s alarming. We’re just very worried about her.”
Kolby was at Venice Beach on Dec. 6 during the afternoon near the skate park with her boyfriend and another friend. They returned to her home in Mar Vista by 7 p.m. and around 8:30 p.m. she grabbed her sleeping back, a backpack and a ukelele and told her roommate she was returning to the beach to hang out. She told her father the same thing on the phone.
At about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 6, Kolby called a friend to ask her to help her find her keys that she had lost on the beach.
“It didn’t take long to find the keys, maybe 20 minutes,” Josh told Dateline. “But they stayed there for a while. He was trying to get her to leave... told her it wasn’t safe. It was dark and getting cold. But she told him to go home and that she would be fine.”
Friend Josh Toedt reportedly waited in his car nearby while Kolby stayed on the beach. At about 2 a.m. Kolby got in her car, which was parked near Big Daddy's Pizza. She started driving away and turned in the direction of her home. Her friend followed part of the way and saw her head off in the direction toward Mar Vista.
"He actually followed her for a short bit and said she made a right on Pacific from Rose, and a left and that was the last he's seen her," he said.
Her roommate reported her missing on Dec. 9.
Her brother describes the situation as unusual because she is an esthetician and has a skincare routine.
Police describe her as a white female with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds.
"She has a nose ring," Josh told Patch. "She's got wings on her back, at the top of her back, in the middle," he said, describing her tattoo.
