More Than 2K Lose Power In Venice, Mar Vista, Palms & Sawtelle

MAR VISTA, CA — Power is out for more than 2,000 Los Angeles Department of Water & Power customers across the Westside Monday night after lightning, thunder and rain poured over the basin.

Power was knocked down for about 2,137 customers in Palms before 6 p.m., the utility reports. That number increased shortly after 6:35 p.m. with an outage reported in Mar Vista.

Other outages were reported in Sawtelle and Venice, the utility reports.

Power is expected to be restored by 11:30 p.m.
