New Venice Restaurant Is A 'Love Letter To The European Coast'

VENICE BEACH, CA — A new beachside restaurant is bringing a slice of coastal Europe to Los Angeles.
Venice Beach Club, which opened on Wednesday, draws inspiration from other European restaurants such as La Fontelina and the shores of the Amalfi Coast and the South of France.
"Venice Beach Club is a love letter to the European coast, reimagined through the lens of Southern California,” the restaurant's Managing Partner and Creative Director, Abdi Manavi, said in a press release Wednesday.. “It’s a space for sun-soaked lunches, slow dinners, and spontaneous moments that transport guests to a holiday state of mind—even if you’re just steps from home.”

On the menu are items such as housemade pizzas, steak frites, raw fish dishes known as crudo and spicy rigatoni. The culinary vision is that of Venice-based Executive Chef James Samuel.
Samuel has an extensive background with coastal cuisine and Southern traditions, according to the restaurant, bringing "flavor-forward artistry and soulful technique" in each dish.

"More than a restaurant, Venice Beach Club is a destination: a place to share leisurely meals, toast to vibrant sunsets and embrace the captivating beauty of California living," according to the press release. "Venice Beach Club reimagines coastal living with elevated cuisine, custom design and a signature beachside energy that's unmistakably Venice."
Venice Beach Club is located at 2 Rose Ave. in Venice.
