Roy Choi Makes Hollywood Reporter's Top 20 Most Influential Chefs List
Choi runs A-Frame on the Culver City/Mar Vista Border and Sunny Spot in Venice. Three other locals made the list.

Dubbed the 'mayor of mashup' by the Hollywood Reporter, Roy Choi has been listed among the most influential chefs in Los Angeles on that publication's Top 20 list.
Choi, who is probably best known for bringing the Kogi truck with his Korean-Mexican fare to Los Angeles, also runs A-Frame on the Culver City-Mar Vista border and Sunny Spot in Venice.
THR says of Choi, "His gestalt -- egalitarian vibe, modest prices, unrestrained flavor-bomb cooking -- came to define the recession-rocked city while receiving rapturous reviews."
Other locals that made the list include Jason Neroni of Venice's Superbia, Brian Dunsmoor and Kris Tominaga who started their business in Venice with their Southern pop up business Wolf in Sheep's Clothing 18 months ago, and vegan chef Tal Ronnen.
While Ronnen is highlighted for his work at his all vegan restaurant Crossroads on Melrose Avenue, he also creates the vegan dishes for the newly-opened LYFE Kitchen in Culver City.
