VENICE, CA — A 30-foot yacht washed aground at Venice Beach this week, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department Lifeguard Division. Both people on board got off the boat without injuries.

Lifeguards got the call about the vessel at 11:39 p.m. Tuesday, lifeguard officials said. A large south swell contributed to the vessel going ashore.

Baywatch rescue boats and land-based lifeguards Wednesday rigged up and towed the vessel offshore.
