WALNUT CREEK, CA — Don’t call it a comeback because the second-ever craft beer festival in downtown Walnut Creek will have even more beers, more fun and more dogs, organizers say.

Celebrate the holiday weekend by filling your cup with delicious craft brews at the Hops & Creek Brewfest from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday, July 2 in Walnut Creek's Civic Park.

This exclusive event encourages attendees to sample from more than 20 innovative breweries like premier partner Del Cielo Brewing, as well as some of Northern California's most iconic brewmasters, including Lagunitas and Sierra Nevada. The festival will open an hour early (at noon) for VIPs, where select breweries will offer reserve samples only to those with the early access ticket. And new this year, for VIP ticket holders only; a four-pack of the new and exclusively brewed, Hops & Creek Werewolf IPA!

It’s not just all about beer; the festival is going to the dogs. Literally. Hops & Creek is partnering with Contra Costa Animal Services for pet adoptions at the festival. The definition of dog friendly: playful pooches can enjoy the BARk Lounge complete with a dog pool, ball pit, and more.

"Last year’s festival was a huge success in that we had a lot of great people just hanging out in Walnut Creek, sampling amazing beer and enjoying the holiday weekend,” said Organizer Emery Lykins. “We are excited to bring the event back, and with our one-of-a-kind, exclusively released Werewolf IPA, we think we have created something unique for the die-hard craft brew enthusiasts. This is an experience you just can’t get anywhere else.”
