Man Goes Missing From Walnut Creek

Boris Popov is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 178 pounds. He speaks Russian and very limited English, Walnut Creek police said.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Walnut Creek Police Department issued a missing person alert Monday.

The public's help is needed to locate Boris Popov, a 73-year-old man who went missing Friday. Popov was last seen around 2 p.m. Friday walking away from his residence in the 300 block of North Civic Drive, Walnut Creek police said.

He left behind his wallet and keys.

Popov is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 178 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a hiking hat, a gray vest, a T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

According to police, Popov speaks Russian and very limited English.
