Victim Injured In Attempted Robbery, Walnut Creek Police Say

The suspects remained outstanding this week.

WALNUT CREEK, CA —One person was injured in an attempted robbery this week and police were working to track down the people responsible.

The robbery was reported at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of Arbolado Drive. The victim told police that two suspects tried to rob him, assaulting him in the process.

Police believe it was a crime of opportunity. The victim did not know the suspects. He told police he did not see any weapons and none were mentioned during the assault.

Walnut Creek police were following up on potential investigative leads as they worked to identify and apprehend the outstanding suspects—described as two younger adult males with dark complexions wearing dark clothing and driving a dark sedan.

"We will update the community as more information is known," Acting police Capt. Bruce Jower said.
