WALNUT CREEK, CA — Savor a sub and help those who help our special athletes: win-win.

The Jersey Mike's sub shop in Walnut Creek will donate 100 percent of its sales Wednesday, March 27 to Special Olympics Northern California, which provides free year-round programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The initiative is part of the company’s 14th annual Day of Giving, when 2,500 Jersey Mike’s locations around the country are expected to donate over $20 million to local charities. Since the Month of Giving began in 2011, the chain has raised more than $88 million, according to a company news release.
