The high-speed pursuit of the SUV began about 12:30 a.m. when police were contacted by a resident who said his black Chevrolet TrailBlazer was stolen near Rosewood and La Brea avenues, said Sgt. Richard Estevez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Station.

Officers spotted the stolen SUV traveling southbound on La Brea at Oakwood Avenue and began pursuing it, Estevez said.
