AIDS Walk LA on Sunday: Be Aware of Street Closures
Where you can and cannot traverse this weekend.

From the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department:
On Sunday, Oct. 12, the 2014 AIDS Walk Los Angeles event will take place in West Hollywood and Los Angeles.
Please expect traffic delays and plan your morning accordingly.

Saturday Street Closure:
San Vicente Boulevard will be closed between Santa Monica Blvd., and Melrose Ave., starting at 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning until 6:00 pm Sunday.

Sunday Street Closures:
- San Vicente Boulevard from Beverly Boulevard to Melrose Avenue (East side only) - 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Robertson Boulevard from Melrose Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. o
- La Peer Drive from Melrose Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard – 6 a.m. to noon
- Santa Monica Boulevard from Doheny Drive to Holloway Drive – 6 a.m. to noon
- La Cienega Boulevard from Santa Monica Boulevard to Melrose Avenue – 6 a.m. to noon
- Melrose Place from La Cienega Boulevard to Orlando Avenue – 6 a.m. to noon
- Melrose Avenue from San Vicente Boulevard to La Brea Avenue – 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- La Brea Avenue from Melrose Avenue to Beverly Boulevard – 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Beverly Boulevard from La Brea Avenue to San Vicente Boulevard – 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
**Specific closure hours subject to adjustment dependent on requirements of the City’s Public Safety Department
**During the event, some streets will have LAPD officers posted to allow vehicles to cross streets during periodic intervals.
Controlled cross traffic will be allowed at:
- Harper at Melrose (northbound and southbound)
- Crescent Heights at Melrose (northbound and southbound)
- Oakwood at Fairfax (eastbound and southbound)
- Crescent Heights at Beverly (northbound and southbound
- Sweetzer at Beverly (northbound and southbound)
- La Cienega at Beverly (southbound only)
Note: Rosewood Ave can provide east/west travel between controlled intersections, as well as Oakwood Ave. Learn more about access routes during this event here.
