Free Shots with Free Meningitis Vaccine at WeHo Bar this Weekend
Impulse Group Los Angeles is offering men free drinks if they get vaccinated. The meningitis outbreak is disproportionally affecting gay men

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — In light of the recent outbreak of meningitis in Southern California that is disproportionately affecting gay men and men who have sex with men, a nonprofit group is offering free meningitis vaccination at a West Hollywood bar this Sunday.
Impulse Group Los Angeles, in collaboration with AIDS Healthcare Foundation, will be providing free meningitis vaccines and drinks at Revolver, 8851 Santa Monica Blvd., on Sunday.
“Maybe we're not good at math, but we do know that paying for drinks is really expensive," president and founder of Impulse United Jose Ramos said. "We also know there have been 17 confirmed cases of meningitis in L.A. so far this year, including 12 in the last two months.”
