Halloween Is Almost Here: Night of the Jack Announces Return for 8th Season
Wander through lantern-lit paths, sip cocktails at The Spookeasy, and savor food from some of LA's favorite food trucks.

The iconic Halloween trail is back for more as Night of the Jack has announced it will return Sept. 26 with brighter lights, spookier magic, and more surprises.
One of Los Angeles’s favorite Halloween traditions, the event, formerly called Nights of the Jack, will again take place at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas from Sept. 26 through Nov. 1.

Now in its eighth year, Night of the Jack has carved out a reputation as a must-see Halloween event, drawing more than 100,000 visitors annually.

It’s festive without the fright — making it an autumn night out for kids, adults, and even a few pumpkin-loving celebrities. The Kardashians have been seen attending as have Nick Cannon, Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Rebel Wilson and more.

Picture this: a mile-long trail twinkling with thousands of illuminated jack-o’-lanterns, larger-than-life scenes crafted from pumpkins, and new projection mapping technology that transforms the ranch’s historic landscape into a glowing, animated wonderland.

“We’re beyond excited to return to King Gillette Ranch for our biggest year yet,” said Ben Biscotti, co-founder of Night of the Jack. “Every season, we push ourselves to outdo the last, and 2025 is no exception. This event has become so many families’ annual tradition, and we can’t wait to share all the surprises we have in store for this year, including cutting-edge projection mapping and more technology updates for brighter lights and wow factors.”

This year’s brand-new multi-sensory installations promise to be show-stoppers, blending artistry with tech in ways that feel downright otherworldly, Biscotti shared.
For families, there are live pumpkin-carving demos, face painting, and glowing souvenirs. For adults, the Spookeasy bar offers themed cocktails, craft beer, and cider to sip while you wander.

Of course, no celebration would be complete without food. A lineup of LA’s top food trucks are scheduled to keep guests fueled, including Wetzel's Pretzels, Cousins Maine Lobster, Vivace Pizza, Baby’s Burgers, Cerda Vega Tacos, Angelenos' Wood Fired Pizza and The Twist Churro Truck.
Night of the Jack also pays tribute to the local legend that claims to have given Calabasas its pumpkin-powered roots. Back in 1824, a rancher is said to have spilled a wagon full of pumpkins on his way to Los Angeles. Weeks later, vines sprouted where the gourds landed, inspiring the name Calabasas — “the place where the pumpkins fell.” Now 201 years later, those pumpkins still light the way.

Whether you’re hunting for the perfect fall photo op, craving a festive night out with friends, or keeping up a beloved family tradition, Night of the Jack is ready to cast its spell once again.
