Inmate Escapes From West Hollywood Sheriff's Station
The individual was enroute to a court appearance and escaped from the loading area, officials said.
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Authorities Friday were searching for an inmate who escaped while being escorted to a bus on the grounds of the sheriff's West Hollywood Station.
The man escaped while in a loading area at the station in the 700 block of North San Vicente Boulevard shortly before 7 a.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.
Deputies set up a perimeter in the area. No description was released of the man, who reportedly was being taken to a court appearance.

The inmate is described as 6 feet, 4 inches tall, and wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, white shoes and police say is handcuffed.
