La Cienega Windows Pay Homage to Legendary Artists

More than 30 retailers are featuring vignettes by top designers inspired by their favorite artists.

Strolling along La Cienega Avenue between Santa Monica and Beverly boulevards this weekend may feel like a pop-up art exhibit. That's because 34 members of the Los Angeles’ La Cienega Design Quarter are paying tribute to celebrated artists for Legends of La Cienega 2011: Celebrate Art

Begin your walking tour at (719 N. La Cienega Blvd.) for a vibrant display by Kim Alexandriuk, named one of the "125 Top Designers in the U.S." by House Beautiful magazine.

Then head to (711 N. La Cienega Blvd.) for designer Cliff Fong's very red scene, featuring a life-size female figure lounging on a crimson divan. "I think it is absolutely brilliant. I love it," retail owner Patrick Dragonette said of his shop's eye-catching display. "I think it sings!'
