Only the most walkable city on the entire West Coast, according to data provided by WalkScore.com, which ranks a city's walkability by measuring the proximity of individual addresses to various local resources, based on location and population data from the 2010 Census.
With a score of 89.4, WeHo outranks cities like San Francisco, Santa Monica and Seattle and trails only a trio of New Jersey cities for the top score in the nation.

As Walk Score puts it in their evaulation of the city; "Most errands can be accomplished on foot in West Hollywood."

Los Angeles Magazine's National Walking Day challenge, to be celebrated Wednesday, is an opportune time to find out.
The challenge asks L.A. residents to make it a rule not to drive anywhere within two miles of their house.
Writer Alissa Walker took the plunge and found she had more time to read and didn't have to squeeze in traditional workouts.
She's also lost ten pounds in a year, though, admittedly, she's thrown some biking into the mix as well.
