LA Pride Parade & Festival 2017: Road Closures, Parking

Permit parking enforcement will also be suspended in the West Hollywood for Pride weekend from 4 p.m. Friday to 12 p.m. Monday.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — The 2017 Los Angeles Pride Celebration will return to West Hollywood starting Friday. Thousands are expected to attend one of the largest Gay Pride festivals in the country.

The city has announced several street and facility closures surrounding the festival days:

  • San Vicente Boulevard will be closed between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue from 7 p.m. Thursday through 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017
  • West Hollywood Park will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017;
  • West Hollywood Library will be closed from 7 p.m. on Thursday to 11 a.m. on Monday; and
  • West Hollywood Pool will be closed from Monday through Sunday, June 18, 2017, and will re-open on Monday, June 19, 2017.

The following streets will be closed during the Resist March on Sunday:

  • Santa Monica Boulevard, and all streets one block north and one block south, from Doheny Drive to La Cienega Boulevard will be closed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
  • Santa Monica Boulevard from La Cienega Boulevard to Genesse Avenue will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and
  • Fairfax Avenue, from Sunset Boulevard to Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Permit Parking enforcement will be suspended for Pride weekend from 4 p.m. Friday to 12 p.m. Monday. All metered parking, however, will still be enforced.

During Pride weekend, West Hollywood’s free shuttle to Hollywood and Highland, CityLineX, and West Hollywood’s free weekend ride along Santa Monica Boulevard, The PickUp, will combine to become Pride Ride. The service will operate Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 a.m. (with service to and from Hollywood and Highland ending at approximately 9 p.m.) and on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. (with service to and from Hollywood and Highland ending at approximately 1 a.m.).

On Sunday beginning at 7 a.m., CityLineX vehicles will depart regularly to transport residents to Hollywood and Highland for the Resist March. Following the march, Pride Ride will provide eastbound service. Route details and specifics will be available online prior to the Resist March.
