WeHo to Hold Forum to Discuss L.A. Pride Festival

This year's pride festival received criticism for wanting to turn the event into a music festival and raised prices.

West Hollywood, CA -- The city of West Hollywood will host the first of two community meetings Wednesday to get feedback about the annual Los Angeles Pride Festival.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the West Hollywood Park Auditorium, 647 N. San Vicente Blvd.

Christopher Street West, the organizer of the annual event, came under fire this year for the decision to turn the event into a music festival to attract more millenials. Lesbian and transgender group also complained about the decision to scale back time dedicated to them to make time for musical performers.

The organization's decision to raise prices was so unpopular that the group backed away from the plan.

The second meeting was scheduled for August.
