WeHo Taxi Driver Killed in Suspected DUI Crash
The collision closed La Brea Avenue for several hours on Sunday.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — A taxi driver was struck and killed Saturday by a suspected drunken, authorities said.
The taxi driver, whose name has not been released, was travelling eastbound Fountain Avenue and crossing La Brea Avenue when a woman driving in a Hyundai allegedly ran a red light and collided with the taxi and another vehicle, according to the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station.
The taxi driver died at the scene. The driver in the other vehicle and passenger were not injured, authorities said.

The female driver of the Hyundai was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. La Brea Avenue was closed between Fountain and Lexington avenues until 9 a.m. Sunday while authorities finish their investigations.
