West Hollywood's Free Theater in the Park Presents 'The Country Wife'

Performances will run Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 23.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- The city of West Hollywood's Free Theatre in the Parks program, part of WeHo Arts, will present Classical Theatre Lab's production of 'The Country Wife' at 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at Kings Road Park, located at 1000 N. Kings Road.

"The Country Wife," a 1675 comic masterpiece by William Wycherley, is perhaps the bawdiest of Restoration comedies. Wycherley's play introduces Horner -- who claims to be impotent so that husbands and guardians will suppose him a safe companion for their women. His ruse fools the men of London, allowing Horner to have his way with any and every woman -- especially the beautiful, naïve, and newly married Margery.

Admission is free; first-come, first-served seating will be provided for these outdoor performances. RSVPs are not required, but reservations will be accepted at classicaltheatrelab@gmail.com.
