Firefighters Squelch Small Woodland Hills Fire

The blaze broke out near the intersection of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Mulholland Drive.

Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire that broke out around 4 p.m. on Topanga Canyon Boulevard Sunday.

The fire burned about a half acre of vegetation at 4700 Topanga Canyon Boulevard, but 53 firefighters extinguished the blaze in 53 minutes, according to Shawn Lenske of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No structures were involved.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Lenske reported.
