An 81-year-old woman was found dead at her Woodland Hills home. LAPD officers found signs of a break-in and robbery, according to reports.
LOS ANGELES — An 81-year-old woman was found dead at her Woodland Hills home and LAPD officers found signs of a break-in and robbery, according to reports.
The woman was found dead around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday inside a one-story home, the Los Angeles Fire Department said. Responding firefighters found evidence of a fire that extinguished before they arrived. The home is near De Soto Avenue and Martha Street.
No one else was hurt. Both the Fire and death were under investigation.

Relatives called authorities after not hearing from the 81-year-old woman, KTTV reported. Police found her body Tuesday night and discovered evidence of a break-in and robbery.
Investigators reportedly suspect someone broke into her home, killed her, ransacked the home, and then tried to set the home ablaze.
