5 Puppies Rescued From 'Terrible Living Conditions': Arvada PD
Arvada police said they found the puppies while conducting a search warrant at a home for drugs.
ARVADA, CO — Several rescued puppies in Arvada have a better place to call home thanks to police.
While conducting a search warrant for drugs, investigators found five puppies in terrible living conditions at the home, the Arvada Police Department announced on its official Facebook page Wednesday.
Officers removed the puppies and arrested the resident who was ultimately jailed on multiple charges from drug distribution to animal abuse, police said.

"Thank you for saving those precious babies and for getting the bad guys out of our neighborhood," one person commented.
"Thanks for going above and beyond to rescue and give a voice to these adorable little ones! Hoping they can get vet care and eventually find the homes they deserve!" another person wrote.

The puppies appear to possibly be pit bull terriers.
Neither the identity of the resident nor the exact condition police found the puppies in were immediately available.
