Colorado Coronavirus Update: 1,121 New Cases Reported

Here are the latest coronavirus numbers in Colorado.

Colorado has seen a decline in coronavirus case numbers since mid-January, and the numbers have "leveled off" over the past few weeks, public health officials said.

Between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon, 1,121 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Colorado.

As of Thursday, 446,580 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the state among more than 2,662,000 people who have been tested since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed. Around 24,289 people have been hospitalized.

Colorado's COVID-19 death toll:

  • Deaths due to COVID-19: 6,142
  • Deaths among cases: 6,060

Around 28 percent of the state's critical care ventilators were in use as of Thursday, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Around 9 percent of Colorado hospitals reported anticipating staff shortages over the next week, and 3 percent of facilities reported anticipating ICU bed shortages.

Coloradans ages 50 and older became eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine Friday.
