Broomfield's Community Gardens Are Ready For Spring

BROOMFIELD, CO – Are your green thumbs itching to plant something as spring turns the corner in Broomfield? Broomfield's community gardens are waiting for your gardening expertise.

The City and County of Broomfield sponsors five public community gardens in different locations across the city, and is interested in finding out where residents would like more.

Birch Community Garden
The Birch Community Garden is located on Broomfield Salvation Army's property at 1080 Birch Street, Broomfield, CO 80020. The Garden contains 18 individual plots and 3 large, food donation plots, which provided over 1000 lbs of donated produce to local organizations in need last year. Find out more.


Broomfield Crescent Grange Community Garden

The Broomfield Crescent Grange Community Garden is "a true communal garden space" which is shared, worked, and harvested by all its volunteers. The address is 7901 W. 120th Avenue Find out more

CenturyLink's Giving Garden

Century Link's Giving Garden with 56 raised beds was funded entirely by outside donations and built through the exceptional efforts of over 450 volunteers. A portion of each member's harvest is donated to local food banks through scheduled Harvest Days. Find out more

Emerald Elementary School Garden

The Emerald Elementary School Garden works in partnership with the Grow Foundation as part of their Garden to Table Program. Parent volunteers and teachers work together to maintain eight raised beds and provide "easy to implement, garden based, grade specific lessons to students through hands on learning." Find out more.

Discovery Church Community Garden

The Discovery Church Community Garden is organized by volunteer church staff and is open to all members of the community to participate. The Garden consists of 21 large garden beds of varying size and produce located at 2605 W. 144th Ave. Find out more.

Broomfield CSU Extension Service gardening help

Broomfield also hosts the Colorado Department of Agriculture's CSU Extension Service that hosts gardening workshops on a regular basis.
