PaintCare's Door-to-Door Paint Recycling Pickup Service Available
For a limited time, service available to residents in and around Denver with more than 10 gallons of paint
PaintCare has extended its direct pickup service to households with more than 10 gallons of leftover paint in Arapahoe, Adams, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson Counties. For a limited time, PaintCare will pick up leftover paint, stain, and varnish from homes to be recycled. There is no charge for the pickup service; the cost is covered by the PaintCare fee on sales of new paint. Since January, the service has been available in the Colorado Springs area and in El Paso and Teller Counties.
"PaintCare has extended its pickup service to residents in six counties around the Denver Front Range for a limited time to make recycling larger amounts of paint even more convenient," said Kevin Lynch, PaintCare Colorado program manager. "With home improvement projects up, we see a pent-up need for responsible paint disposal options. We have seen great success with the program around Colorado Springs and expect it will work well in the Denver area, as well."
Products covered by the PaintCare program and accepted for pickup are defined as interior and exterior architectural coatings sold in containers of five gallons or smaller, including:
