School Of Rock Launches Remote Music Lessons

BROOMFIELD, CO — With many Americans practicing "social distancing" amid the spread of the new coronavirus, why not also practice with an instrument that's been gaining dust in the closet? The School of Rock has launched a new remote learning program for aspiring musicians around the world.

Jennifer Moriarta, the owner of School of Rock Broomfield, said she's excited to offer the new online music lessons.

“School of Rock Remote allows us to provide the same level of instruction that we’re known for, but in a way that prioritizes student health and safety," Moriarta said. "The new platform also keeps music instructors working during this uncertain period when most live music performances are on hold.”

Students can use video conferencing to meet with their music instructors. There is a new virtual lesson room, and the School of Rock’s Method App, SongFirst approach and Method Books offer a "comprehensive music learning experience," the school said.

Hal Leonard, the world’s largest print music publisher of performance and instructional material, has partnered with School of Rock to offer students a free 60-day pass to SheetMusicDirect.com, a "nearly endless library of notation in virtually every genre, including rock," the school said.
