The Littleton Police Department and AllHealth Network are partners in a Co-Responder Program where a certified mental health clinician rides along with LPD patrol officers during their shift. The co-responder assists officers on scene with assessing persons experiencing mental health crises and can provide immediate access to resources for the person directly from the scene of the incident. Research and experience have shown that the sooner access to assistance services is made available, the greater the likelihood of long-term success in addressing mental health issues.
