Jeffco Teen Emma Strom Breaking Barriers As First Female Football Player To Win Colorado 4A State Championship Game

Strom says she plans to run track in college, and is still considering whether or not she'll take football to the next level.

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) – Emma Strom, 17, of Chatfield Senior High School, set some firsts this year as the only girl on the school’s varsity football team. She says she is the first female skilled player in Colorado to be on a state championship-winning team.

The Chatfield Senior High School football team took home the 4A state championship trophy on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Empower Field at Mile High.
