Next Snow Chance Emerges For CT As Major Weather Changes Begin Now

Our next chance for snow has emerged in the forecast, while several weather changes are about to begin for Connecticut.

CONNECTICUT — Those 70-degree and sunny days from earlier November seem like a distant memory, as much colder weather has arrived and isn't going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

Temperatures for at least the next week will be in the upper 30s to low 40s during the day and dropping into the teens and 20s at night.

Despite the colder weather, it will remain largely dry over the next week, but there is a chance for some snow next Wednesday.

"Surface low pressure moves to the north of the region Wednesday and Thursday sending a cold front through the area. Some moisture accompanies this system, and there will be a chance of light precipitation Wednesday night into Thursday. With the cold airmass in place light snow is expected across the region. With the passage of the front, an even colder airmass may be moving into the region for the end of next week," the National Weather Service said in its forecast discussion.

Of course the system is a week away and much can change, but for those of you who look forward to snow, there is a chance next Wednesday night.

Weekend forecast details

"The weekend begins on a chilly note. Small Business Saturday (the last day of November) will be breezy with highs in the lower 40s. There will likely be a wind chill, keeping our ‘feels like’ temps in the 30s for most of the day. Overnight lows will fall into the 20s statewide. On Sunday, the first day of December, temperatures will be seasonably cold in the upper 30s to near 40. It will again be breezy, feeling quite chilly despite the mostly sunny skies," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.

Next week

"Mostly sunny skies continue for Monday and Tuesday. There could be a bit more cloudiness by Wednesday as a storm system approaches from the west. The bigger story, though, is certainly the temperatures! Expect a stretch of below-normal temperatures with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s... feeling more like winter as we start the new month! Shower chances will rise a bit by Thursday. Still a good deal of uncertainty surrounding this, so be sure to check back through the weekend!" said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
