Thunderstorms In Monday, Wednesday Forecast In CT, Some Could Be 'Strong'
Some of the storms could be "strong," forecasters say. Here is an update on when to expect the storms and updates on an unsettled forecast.
CONNECTICUT — Last week, all the weather talk was dominated by smoky and hazy skies and poor air quality. This week, the forecast looks unsettled and there are a few upcoming chances for thunderstorms and rain showers.
There will also be lots of clouds this week, but also some peeks of sun. Once again, it appears we'll see rapidly changing conditions from day to day.
The best chance for steadier rain and thunderstorms is late Monday and early Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

"The bulk of the rain and some embedded storms look to arrive after 7PM from west to east and the heaviest lifts out before sunrise tomorrow. A strong storm or two can’t be ruled out across western CT when the activity first arrives. Lingering showers will remain possible tomorrow morning especially in Northeastern CT. Rainfall amounts will range from trace to .25″ and locally from .50″ to 1″. This could help ease the over 1″ rainfall departure for the Hartford area," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
More showers and storms are possible Wednesday afternoon, and WFSB 3 TV forecasters say "we’ll have to monitor the potential for strong storms on Wednesday afternoon." (Watch the full WFSB 3 TV weather forecast here).
