Storm To Bring Much-Needed Rain, Snowflakes To CT: What You Need To Know
A storm is forecast for Connecticut, and here are the latest details on when and what to expect, including possibly some snowflakes.
CONNECTICUT — We're finally going to get a decent rainfall this week for the first time in what seems like forever.
The entire state could see in excess of an inch of rain, which is badly needed as Connecticut is in the midst of drought conditions. This won't end drought conditions, but it will definitely help, and hopefully reduce the amount of brush fires raging across the state.
WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said a "storm system" will approach on Wednesday, and we'll see increasing clouds.

"This will bring a burst of moderate to heavier rain for the Thursday morning commute. It will also increase the onshore flow, so we’ll have to monitor the threat for coastal flooding (but the timing of high tide may work in our favor to lessen the impact). By the evening commute, rain is tapering to scattered showers," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Given our growing deficits leading to moderate/severe drought conditions across CT, we certainly need rain. Latest indications are for us pick up between 0.50″ and 1.0″ of rain (locally higher amounts are possible)....By Thursday night the higher terrain of NW CT could see their first flakes of the season before the precipitation ends."
