Former U.S. President Spotted Dining At Connecticut Restaurant
The former president is no stranger to Connecticut.
CONNECTICUT — Former President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, dined at The Woodland restaurant in Lakeville Thursday night, according to a post on the eatery's Facebook page.
"Great to have Joe & Jill Biden at The Woodland last night," the restaurant wrote. "He was so gracious and thoughtful in conversations with staff and guests."
Referred to as "A country restaurant," The Woodland serves American and Asian cuisine in a scenic, rustic setting.

What brought the former president to Connecticut was not disclosed, but in the post, the restaurant congratulated Biden's grandson on his recent graduation.
The former president, 82, is no stranger to Connecticut, having attended fundraisers in the state, and delivering a commencement speech at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

He also the keynote speaker in 2023 at the National Safer Communities Summit at the University of Hartford, urging gun control advocates to not give up the fight.
"We very much enjoyed such decency and humility from our President," the restaurant wrote. "You made our evening very special. All the best."
Last week, President Biden's office announced that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, for which he is receiving treatment.
