Picture Connecticut: An Opera House And Its Mural

EAST WINDSOR, CT — The latest stop on the Patch Picture Connecticut tour takes us to a quiet little spot next to a pond in East Windsor's Broad Brook Village and a building that dates back to 1892.

It's the Broad Brook Opera House and its famous mural, which pays tribute to giants of arts and entertainment like Bob Marley, Andy Warhol and Jerry Garcia. Feel free to find others.

The opera house plays host to live musical acts from tribute bands to rock icons to regional acts. Comedy and magician shows are also regulars on the schedule, all in a vintage setting.

It also hosts private gatherings like weddings and dinner events and has a full catering service. The opera house can host smaller events in the lower-level Pond View Room if the main room is too large.
