Let’s start a conversation about your care wishes!
On Monday, January 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., Peggy Coburn, MPH, Administrator of McLean’s Home Care & Hospice, will present “The Conversation Project” at Eno Hall, Old Court Room, in partnership with the Simsbury Senior Center. The Conversation Project, a national program, is a workshop that provides the confidence people need to make important medical decisions now, in the event they cannot make them in the future. The Conversation Project encourages people to talk to their families and health care providers about their wishes for care if they become seriously ill.
Ninety percent of Americans agree that it’s important to talk to their loved ones about their wishes regarding this care, yet only 30 percent actually discuss this difficult topic.
Members of the Town of Simsbury Senior Center and Social Services department will also be on hand to participate in the discussion and lend their expertise.
Parking is available in the lot behind Eno Hall, 754 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury. The event takes place in the Old Court Room on the lower level of Eno Hall. Space is limited and an RSVP is recommended to 860-658-3273 or khaberlin@simsbury-ct.gov.
