Meg Ryan's Plastic Surgery: Cyber Haters Bash Movie Star, Former Bethel Resident, After Tony Award Appearance

The former Bethel resident introduces the cast of 'She Loves Me' at Sunday night's Tony Awards.

Just one day after the nation's worst mass shooting, the No. 1 trending story on Facebook was Meg Ryan's plastic surgery.

The Hollywood starlet, a 1979 graduate of Bethel High School, made an appearance at the Tony Awards which, according  to Courier Mail online who said "shocked" many viewers.

Ryan introduced a performance by the cast of ‘She Loves Me’ while Twitter exploded with comments of viewers criticizing her "new look." Woman's Day Magazine tweeted:

In a 2015 interview with Porter Magazine, Ryan said, "“There’s a lot of hatred in the world today, it’s so easy to judge....the people I value talk about kids growing up, what kind of world they are going into, what we are eating, what we are breathing.”

Margaret Mary Emily Anne "Meg" Hyra  was born in 1961 and achieved fame from acting in films such as Top Gun, When Harry Met Sally and You've Got Mail as well as her Golden Globe nominated role in Sleepless in Seattle. She has acted in 48 movies, was producer of 5 and director of one film.
