Bethany School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Bethany is August 28. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Bethany Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/28: First Day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/19: Open House
• 9/21: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/18 - 10/19: Early Dismissal for Students (Parent/Teacher Conferences)

November

• 11/7: No School for Students (Teacher PD)
• 11/22: No School for Students (Teacher Half PD)
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/22: Early Dismissal
• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/12: Early Dismissal for Students (Teachers Half PD)
• 1/15: No School (MLK, Jr. Day)

February

• 2/16: Early Dismissal for Students (Teachers Half PD)
• 2/19: No School (President’s Day)
• 2/20: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/21 - 3/22: Early Dismissal for Students (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
• 3/29: No School for Students (Teacher PD)
