Event At The Lyric Hall On Nov. 24

As part of the year-long celebration, 100 years to be exact, The Lyric Hall, that small jewel of a theatre, built in 1913, in the midst of the historic Westville village, in New Haven.

Originally, the West Rock Theatre, the place where working men and women of Westville came to be entertained by vaudeville acts and silent films.  It would close in 1925 and in the ensuing decades the theatre and the building itself would undergo several transformations and the theatre was long forgotten.

In 2005, the building was purchased by entrepreneur John Cavaliere, whose vision is to restore the theatre to its former glory.  So what better way than to begin this journey into the next century of the Lyric Hall, but to celebrate that another man's vision; the 45th anniversary of a space journey conceived by acclaimed director Stanley Kubrick with his masterpiece "2001-A SPACE ODYSSEY".  Still as popular today as it was 45 years ago.

Coming along on this journey, at the Lyric Hall, onSUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24TH, 2013  at 1:30PM, the lead actor KEIR DULLEA who will participate after the showing in a Q&A with famed film historian and best selling author FOSTER HIRSCH and the audience..
